Agre events go far beyond merely inspiring gatherings; they create spaces where you can discover new directions and opportunities, ranging from career prospects to fresh project ideas, that you may have long been seeking.
I see Agre events as a fantastic meeting ground to connect with people who are excited about creating value in their region and who share similar goals and passions with me, and to discuss what we might achieve together.
At Agre events, while sincerely sharing my own entrepreneurial experiences, I also have the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs at various stages, listen to their experiences, and draw inspiration from what they have learned.
AgreFest is organized by the Agre team. Agre was founded to meet the need for spaces dedicated to focus, reflection, and deep conversation—things that are becoming increasingly difficult to find amid today’s complexity and distractions. With this purpose in mind, for years we have been designing programs, gatherings, and learning experiences, especially in Şirince, that bring together people from different disciplines around topics such as entrepreneurship, agriculture, food, economics, and development. For more information: https://agrehub.co/
Our event is open to anyone who is currently working in agriculture, food, and gastronomy or has an interest in these fields from afar.
Our participants are primarily made up of graduate students and early- to mid-career professionals who do not yet have extensive experience in these fields and are looking to gain a deeper understanding of the industries, explore career paths, and discover new job opportunities.
You have three days ahead of you that will be full of meaningful and productive moments. Between 09:30–12:30 and 16:00–19:00, when the main sessions take place, you will attend various sessions featuring distinguished speakers and come together with many people who share similar interests with you.
During lunch breaks, you will have plenty of time to explore Şirince, relax, and enjoy the village. If you wish, you can also join the enjoyable side activities we have planned for these hours.
After the evening dinners, program participants and speakers will gather at the Stoa Şirince campus; you will have the opportunity to meet participants of other programs taking place simultaneously and join long conversations late into the night.
In short, AgreFest is not just an event consisting of sessions. It is a rich and enjoyable experience where, throughout three days, you can meet many people who share your interests, build genuine connections, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Şirince.
If you selected the accommodation-included participation option, accommodation and meals will be provided at the Stoa Şirince campus.
Stoa is a venue that hosts festivals and workshops, featuring accommodation capacity for up to 150 people, a kitchen that prepares delicious meals, a lush green inner courtyard, an amphitheater, spacious work halls, and magnificent views.
You can find photos of the venue and rooms at this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1t_MFcX7ePIJl55WU2m6qGkpH5l96Zats
If you selected the attendance without accommodation option, you can find our recommended accommodation and dining providers in the questions below.
If you selected the accommodation option, you may check in to the Stoa Şirince campus starting at 4:00 PM on August 12. You are required to check out by 11:00 AM on August 16.
Accommodation between these dates is included in your participation fee, so no additional payment is required.
There are good accommodation options in Şirince and Selçuk. Based on our past experience, we can recommend the following hotels that can suit different budgets:
Since Şirince can be quite hot during the midday hours in summer, we are intentionally leaving the lunch breaks free in our schedule. During this time, you will have enough opportunity to enjoy your lunch in the village, explore Şirince, and rest a little before the following sessions.
We have also planned different side activities for each day’s lunch break. You can find all the details on the Side Activities page.
As for lunch, there are many alternatives available in Şirince. Our first recommendation is Artemis Restaurant, which will also host the morning sessions on the first day of the program, with its shaded and spacious garden and wonderful view.
If you have confirmed your participation in the event, the necessary information regarding side events and registration options will be shared with you by our team via email.
Şirince is a village in the Selçuk district of İzmir. If you are considering traveling by public transportation, you can reach Selçuk directly by bus from İzmir and various other cities. From İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, you can easily get to Selçuk by Havaş buses or by taking the İZBAN train with a transfer via Tepeköy. To reach Şirince Village from Selçuk, you can take the minibuses departing from the Selçuk Bus Terminal. The minibuses leave approximately every half hour and generally operate between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM.
Of course! The doors of our event are wide open to our animal friends. For the safety and comfort of all our participants, we kindly ask that our animal friends be kept on a leash.
